We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Installation Technician to install, configure, and maintain security camera systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. The ideal candidate should have technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation and Setup:
- Install and configure security camera systems, including wired and wireless systems.
- Mount cameras, run cables, and integrate systems with network infrastructure.
- System Configuration:
- Set up recording devices, monitors, and storage solutions.
- Program and optimize camera settings for maximum efficiency and coverage.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to camera systems.
- Perform routine system checks and maintenance to ensure functionality.
- Customer Support:
- Provide on-site training to clients on system operation and features.
- Address customer inquiries and provide ongoing technical support.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls.
- Document system configurations and provide clients with user manuals.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during installations.
- Ensure all installations comply with local regulations and company guidelines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications preferred).
- Proven experience in installing and maintaining security camera systems.
- Strong understanding of networking, IP configurations, and low-voltage electrical systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with brands like Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, or similar.
- Knowledge of video management systems (VMS) and cloud-based security platforms.
- Certification in low-voltage systems or equivalent.
